Starting at the visitor centre on Haslingden Grane Road the walk is a circuit of two reservoirs and a working quarry.

January 23rd

Start at Midgehole and through Walshaw, and Walshaw Dean Lower Reservoir. Across the valley and via Graining Water and the Pennine Way back to Gibson Mill in Hardcastle Crags.

January 30th

Start at Blackrod and walk through Holly Nook, Haigh Hall,Winstanleys and return via Arley and Aberdeen bridge.

February 6th

Walk up to the Stone Circle on Turton heights. Via Jumbles Reservoir.

February 13th

From Ramsbottom head up the Rake to Higher Tops and on to Arden Ratchers. Returning via Irwell Vale.

March 5th

A route around Adlington starting from Rivingto Top Barn

March 19th

Around Sabden following the surrounding ridges of Robinson Wood and Churn Clough.

March 26th

From Yarrow Country Park the route goes through Astley Park, into Chorley and along the Leeds canal to a muddy Birkacre Park.

March 30th

Start at Torver then climb to Brown Pike along Dow Crag to Goats Hawse. Start the descent to Goats Water and round Nettle Crag back to Coniston.

April 9th

From Entwistle Dam walk over Turton Moor, Catherine Edge and Longworth Moor. On to Dimple and return via Turton Heights

April 16th

Start at Garstang and past Grizedale Reservoir, over Nicky Nook, by Wyresdale Lake and return through Scorton

April 23rd

From Downham Village past Jubilee Barn onto Pendle Summit. Across Pendle Moor, down to Angram and Worsaw End then cross the A59, through Chatburn and back to Downham

April 30th

From Burnsall follow the Wharfe to Kail Lane to Sheepfold to Hell Hole and to Skyreholme Beck. Past Parcevall Hall over Howgill to join the Wharfe then follow this back to Burnsall.

May 7th

Starting from “Blue Lagoon” ascend Winter Hill and walk over the top into Rivington. On to Lead Mines Valley and return to start. May 7th 2008
